In a world where one idea is evidently as good as another and the disregard of facts is of little consequence, those with the loudest voices, least scruples, and biggest war chests tend to predominate. Moogerfooger pedals were used extensively to craft the guitar, percussion, and funky bass sounds.
lyrics
Money speaks
Everyone listens
Screw the little man
With public relations
The press is free
To ask no questions
Invisible ink
Power of suggestion
In this deck all the cards are marked
With talking points and propaganda
No cognitive dissonance
Interferes with the agenda
Reality is mutable
Nothing’s fastened to the ground
Everything’s disputable
All reasoning just sound
Money speaks
Got everyone’s attention
Arrow through the heart
Market penetration
Dollar signs with halos
Plot world domination
Heaven’s on the line
To the global corporation
Dial-a-Democracy
Rings busy every time
Pardon me brother
Can you spare a dime
Almighty dollar
Got hold of Uncle Sam
Liberty and Justice
Cashed out and ran
Money speaks
You’d better listen
As truth goes mute
Assumes the position
We yield the power
Held over our heads
Then come lying time
We’ve made our own beds

Mark Wingfield is always recommended listening for fans of Jazz or Fusion guitar (among the names usually dropped you'll find Alan Holdsworth, Terje Rypdal, Pat Metheny). Nevertheless, this isn't just pure Jazz. I seem to hear more traces of progressive rock than in his other recordings, but probably that's just an early impression... Carsten Pieper
